The hotel Ukraina is Moscow's tallest hotel. Together with its 73-meter spire, the height of this remarkable building equals 206 meters. Despite its impressive size, the 34-storey building at the bend of the Moscow River looks elegant and lightweight.
The style of 1950s has been retained in the interior: the rooms have furniture, paintings, and bronze lamps characteristic of that period.

The hotel Ukraina has 864 rooms: 10 three-room, 55 two-room, 417 double, 382 single rooms. In 2004 the hotel introduced a new scale of room categories. The rooms on the 23rd floor and other rooms that had remodeling are now rooms with higher comfort.
All the rooms are equipped with satellite and cable television, individual safe and telephone; they have a mini-bar, refrigerator, bathtub or shower. Electronic locks in the rooms and halls and video monitoring provide security for the guests. The whole range of services offered by the hotel is displayed in teletext on the first television channel.
In the course of work the hotel Ukraina has been repeatedly awarded with various prizes and certificates of degree. In 1997 and 1999 the hotel Ukraina became a winner in the contest of Moscow Administration in the nomination "The best four-star hotel of Moscow". In 1998 the hotel became a winner GAO "Moskva" contest in the nomination "For keeping Moscow traditions in hotel industry and dynamic development of enterprise".

For the 850th anniversary of Moscow the hotel was refurbished and in 2004 there was started a thorough but careful reconstruction of the building aimed at preserving the inimitable interiors safe and sound. In 2004-2007 it is planned to change the lifts, renovate the systems of ventilation, drainage and water supply. However, the hotel is not going to be closed for reconstruction, not less than 70% of the rooms are available for travelers. On the 23rd floor there are refitted rooms now relating to the upgraded category. The highest 28th floor of the hotel is completely designed for arriving business travelers: 17 rooms of enhanced comfort with access to the Internet and a separate room fitted out with the latest computer equipment permit to create a working place right in the accommodation. The hotel offers its guests 1018 rooms altogether: 15 suites, 68 semi-suites, 515 doubles and 419 singles. From the hotel windows opens a breathtaking view to the Moskva River, the White House and Kutuzovskiy Prospect. Some of the rooms face the inner patio.
Buffet style breakfast is included into the room rate. For children under three years old an extra bed is available free of charge, but breakfast is ordered for additional payment. In all the rooms except for the singles an extra bed is also available: for adults - 50% of the room rate, for children from 3 to 12 years old - 20% of the room rate.

With its 73-meter-tall spire, the Ukraina Hotel, the highest hotel building in Russia, is a striking city landmark with an overall height of 206 m. Despite its enormous size, the construction is by no means heavy or massive, rightfully considered one of the most elegant high-rise buildings in the Russian capital. It is the more impressive taking into account the fact that the process of its erection was a true challenge, since the building weighing thousand of tons was raised on a spot partly surrounded by water.
Across the street from the hotel is the Russian Federation Government building, and a bit further away are the two major streets Arbat and Novy Arbat, the business center of Moscow. It will take you 9 minutes by subway to get to the Expo Center on Krasnaya Presnya (less than a kilometer by car) or to the Park Kultury I Otdyha im. Gorkogo (Gorky Park), and in 12 minutes the underground train will take you to the Red Square and the Kremlin (about 3 km). In approximately the same time you can also get to the Church of Christ the Savior and the nearby Pushkin Museum, Tolstoy Museum and the Nikolay Rerikh Center. The All-Russia Exhibition Center (VDNKh) is located in 20-25 minutes by car.
As far as airports are concerned, the Sheremetyevo is approximately 32 kilometers away, the Vnukovo - 34 km, and the Domodedovo - 45 km. The nearest railway station is the Kievsky, only 600 meters away, and it will take you no more than 15 minutes to get to any other railway station of the city.
