The IMANDRA project is a sports festival event that includes almost all winter sailing sports. But the main feature of the event is a kite competition. The festival takes place in the second half of April in the North of Russia beyond the Pole Circle on the Kola Peninsula in the town of Monchegorsk, on the ice of the biggest lake of the region – Big Imandra (Bolshaya Imandra). The main activities of the festival include running a super marathon of approximately 100 km. You will have an opportunity to dive into the whirlpool of this spring and windy madness. You will be able to meet the participants in person. The event will end up with a grandiose party, where you will finally feel excitement.

Melikhovo is the estate and museum of Chekhov – one of the greatest Russian writers, who spent there the most fruitful years of his literary career. Polenovo is set on the banks of the Oka River. You will see a beautiful mansion which is more than one hundred years old. It used to be owned by V. Polenov, a renowned Russian landscape artist. His remarkable paintings are displayed in the Tretyakov Picture Gallery and the Hermitage. Yasnaya Polyana is the place where Leo Tolstoy, one of the greatest Russian writers and philosophers, was born and spent the most part of his life. He spent more than 60 years there and wrote such masterpieces as “War and Peace”, “Anna Karenina”, “Resurrection”, etc. Yasnaya Polyana is the finest example of architecture of the XIXth century.
