On Sptember 12 the Russian Federal Migration Service (FMS) started an experiment of registering immigrants in the 5 largest hotels in Moscow.
Zalina Filimonova, the press secretary for the FMS's Moscow Department, said that "the hotels will keep immigration records of foreign citizens arriving in Moscow themselves".
According to the press secretary, the registration of immigrants will be further spread to other hotels.
