"Pekin" is going to become a five stars hotel
Hotel "Pekin" is one of the oldest in Moscow. Shortly after the reconstruction "Pekin", which is situated in the centre of Moscow on Sadovoye Koltso Street, is to become a five-stars hotel. Alexander Arutyunov, the head and the President of "Intourist", Inc. informed the journalists of it. The hotel is not to be closed in 2008 yet.
The only problem "to be solved is whether to leave the quantity of rooms in "Pekin" as it is now (235 rooms) or enlarge it to 550 rooms," he said.
The head of "Intourist" informed that cost of the project will be stated later, having noticed that "now we can assume that reconstruction is going to cost approximately 2,5 thousand dollars per square metre." "The negotiations on the reconstruction plan are carried on with the "Galls System", the investor of the project," Arutyunov noted.
As he said, "once the reconstruction is finished the hotel management will pass to the "Intourist Hotel Group" affiliated company." The completion of "Pekin" is planned to be finished by 2010.
