Kempinksy hotels
A meeting between representatives of the legendary Kempinsky hotel chain and leading Russian media personalities took place on February 19 at the Balchug Kempinsky Moscow Hotel. Speakers at the event included: Vice President of the Kempinsky Hotel Group in Eastern Europe and General Manager of Balchug Kempinsky Moscow, Janni van Daalen; General Manager of Shirin Palace Kempinsky Istanbul, Henry Blin; and General Manager of Adlon Kempinsky Berlin, Stefan Interal. Axel Ludwig, General Manager of Kempinsky Barbaros Bay Bodrum, also attended the event.
The hotel representatives met with members of the press and answered interested journalists' questions. Janni van Daalen, Vice President of the Kempinsky Hotel Group in Eastern Europe and General Manager of Balchug Kempinsky Moscow, told those gathered of his plans to expend the hotel chain in Russia, CIS, and the Baltic states, and went on to say that a second hotel from the Kempinsky Nikolskaya chain will open in Moscow by 2010. According to Kempinsky plans, the very near future will see the restoration of the Berezki Sanatorium outside of Moscow and the construction of hotels in Nizhny Novgorod, Novosibirsk, Kazan, Anap, and Sochi. Deluxe hotels are also due to appear in Kyiv, Tblisi, Alma-Ata, Vilnius, and Tallinn. Van Daalen told journalists about the reconstruction of Balchug Kempinsky Moscow, which will take approximately three years. "Massive reconstruction of the hotel will begin toward the end of this year and will affect the hotel's entire infrastructure, however Balchug will remain open for business," emphasized van Daalen.
Stefan Interal, General Manager of the century-old Adlon Kempinsky Berlin, informed attendees of the new programs and unique services offered at Adlon Kempinsky Berlin and mentioned a few of the famous guests that frequent the hotel. "Adlon Kempinsky Berlin was a luxurious hotel when it opened and remains so to this day. The hotel offers its guests impeccable service and is truly legendary in Berlin," stated Interal.
Henry Blin, General Manager of Shirin Palace Kempinsky Istanbul, told journalist about the history of his legendary hotel, which once served as the residence for the last sultan of the Ottoman Empire. "Shirin Palace Kempinsky Istanbul was the first hotel in Turkey to be listed among ‘The Leading Hotels of the World' and is the only luxury hotel located on the European Bosporus coast," mentioned Blin.
Axel Ludwig, General Manager of the exclusive new Kempinsky hotel, informed attendees of the hotel's accomplishments and the bold plans that it has in store. "Kempinsky Barbaros Bay Bodrum makes the utmost effort to ensure that guests leave with fond memories of their stay in the hotel," Ludwig assured journalists. "The hotel offers its guests high-class service, Turkish hospitality, and a breathtaking panoramic view of the Aegean Sea."
The Kempinksy hotel representatives energetically thanked all those in attendance for their interest in the event and expressed their hope to have the honor of serving them as guests in their hotels.
