IKEA will built a hotel in Moscow
Swidish Company IKEA, has recently bought a piece of land 50 ha big by a village Chelobit'evo in the Mytyshi region.
IKEA company needed that land, located in the north-east of Moscow, in order to surround Moscow: 3 Mega Malls are already located behind Moscow Ring Road in the south-east, soth-west & north-west of the capital.
The Swidish company is going to build a multifunctional complex, total of 400-500 thousand sq. meters, the complex will include IKEA furniture store, Mega-Mall family shopping centre, business-centre, hotel & maybe apartments. There will also be a retail park consisting of separated buildings total square up to 5 to 10 thousand sq. meters built for middlemen stores like DIY, food retailers & sporting goods store networks.
The opening of the first complex is planned for 2010.
