The Hilton Moscow Leningradskaya hotel Leningradskaya, Moscow was built in 1948-1953 according to the disign by L. Polyakov and A. Boretskiy. According to their idea, the hotel was supposed to reproduce the style of Russian architecture of the 18th century - "Naryshkinsky style". There is a vivid contrast between the interior and exterior design: gloomy from outside it astonishes with its inside luxury. Because of this luxury the designers were deprived of Stalin award as the rest of high-rise building architects and instead of that underwent dressing-down. The hotel suffered as well: unique modeling disappeared from the ceilings, works of art disappeared from the rooms.
