The Tsaritsyno Hotel is situated close to one of the most picturesque and mysterious estates - the Tsaritsyno Estate owned by Catherine II. During two centuries attempts were made to complete the construction of the estate, but all of them failed. Earlier in this place there had been some tumuli built by the Slavic peoples inhabiting the banks of the Vyatka River. Nowadays the area is famous for a magnificent park where you can ride a horse, cycle, feed squirrels or take a stroll along the old linden paths. The Verkhny and Nizhny Tsaritsynsky ponds were once described by the famous writer I. S. Turgenev in his novel "The Day Before", and today you can explore them by boat or catamaran.
In the neighbourhood there is another beautiful estate - Kolomenskoye. Located on a river bank and occupying an area of several hectares, it is a favourite among the Muscovites and the capital's guests. Traditionally Kolomenskoye hosts the Honey Exhibition in September and October.
It takes 30 minutes to get to the city centre, 20 minutes to the Domodedovo Airport and an hour and a half to the Sheremetyevo Airport. The railway stations can be reached by metro in 15-30 minutes.
